Daymarked gives a couple two different ways to see their timeline, built for different situations. A share link is the fastest way to hand someone a schedule. A guest account is the right call when the couple needs to talk back: commenting on blocks, answering a questionnaire, that kind of thing.
The share link
To create the link, click Share on a wedding and choose Copy link. On a phone, the Share button shows just the share icon, at the top right, and opens a sheet instead. Tap Copy link: Daymarked copies the link and opens your phone's share menu, so you can send it by Messages, Mail, or another app. To keep only the copied link, close the menu. Daymarked mints a URL tied to that wedding. Anyone who opens it sees the timeline exactly as it stands, with no login and no account needed. Hand it to a maid of honor, a DJ, or a parent who only needs to know when the ceremony starts.
To check what the link shows before you send it, click the eye icon next to PDF, in the Share menu or on the Share page. The preview uses the same layout as the link and the PDF, has its own Copy link and PDF, and doesn't use your free wedding. Document settings in the preview opens the same document settings as the Share page, and the timeline updates as you change them: beside the timeline on a computer, and on a phone in a panel that slides up over the lower half of the preview. The shot list has the same eye next to its PDF: on its Share button in a wedding's Shot List tab on a computer and on the Shot Lists page, on the Share page's Shot List row, and on a phone in the Shot List row of a wedding's Share sheet. Its preview shows the shot list exactly as its link and PDF do, and its Document settings show the shot list's name options. Until your studio shares for the first time, Share shows Preview as couple in place of Copy link and PDF, for the timeline and the shot list alike, so the first link goes out from the preview. Manage sharing & views is still there for invites and other links. If you share from there while your free wedding is still unused, Daymarked asks you to confirm first.
With Shot list turned on in a document's settings, four more options appear under it: First names or Full names, Show roles, Shot numbers and Print checkboxes. Each document keeps its own, so the Internal team copy can show full names and roles while the couple's shows first names.
The shot list's own link and PDF have their own header settings too. On the Share page's Shot List row, and in Document settings when you preview the shot list, the Header group chooses whether the shot list shows its Cover header, Contacts, Crew / team and Vendors. Until you change one of them, the shot list matches the timeline's settings. After that it keeps its own, so you can, for example, leave the vendors off the shot list and keep them on the timeline. When the shot list goes out at the end of the timeline, it uses the timeline's header, and these settings don't apply.
The link is read-only and always current. It isn't a snapshot from the day you sent it: move the first dance twenty minutes later next week, and the same link reflects that change the next time anyone opens it, without you resending anything. The page says so, too — the footer shows the date the timeline was last updated, so a couple comparing the link against an older PDF can see which one is current.
The link stays live for as long as the wedding does, and it doesn't expire when the wedding date passes. The only thing that turns it off is you archiving the wedding, which is exactly the point: a wedding you're wrapping up shouldn't still be reachable by anyone who kept the URL. Unarchive the wedding and the same link works again. You can also revoke a link outright from the Share panel, which invalidates the URL for good; the next click on it 404s. Revoking the couple's link also turns off the shot list's link, since both use the same address. Daymarked asks you to confirm first.
Guest accounts
A guest account is a real login, scoped to a single wedding. Invite the couple by email from People & access on the wedding's Share page, and each of them gets an access link. You can invite anyone else the same way, such as a parent or a planner. Opening it asks for their email, then emails a 6-digit code to enter. There's no password to set or remember.
Once signed in, a couple sees their timeline the same way the share link shows it, plus the things a read-only link can't offer: they can comment directly on individual blocks, and send wedding-level messages back to you. Both notify you when a couple posts one. If you've sent a questionnaire, a guest account is also where they fill it in and check its status.
Comments only work on blocks you've marked visible to the couple in the first place. A block you've hidden from the couple stays hidden from their comments as well, not only from their view of the timeline. Revoke a guest's access from the same list you invited them from, and their session and any pending invite stop working immediately.
On your phone, a block with comments shows how many, with a dot for new ones. Open the block and tap Comments to read and reply, or tap the comment's notification to go straight there. To edit or delete one of your own comments or messages on a phone, an iPad, or another touch screen, tap the ··· next to it. Any web address typed into a comment or message becomes a tappable link that opens in a new tab, for you and for your couple.
When a wedding is archived, or while your plan is inactive, comments and messages are read-only for you. You can still open and read them. On a computer, click a block or section in the timeline to see its comments.
Which to use when
Default to the share link for anyone who only needs to see the schedule: the wedding party, a vendor confirming their call time, a parent checking when to arrive. It costs you nothing to hand out and asks nothing of the person receiving it.
Reach for a guest account specifically for the couple, and specifically when you want them able to weigh in: flagging a block that needs a closer look, answering your questionnaire, asking a question about a detail you haven't nailed down yet. If all they need is to read the schedule, the share link does that with less friction. Save the account for when the conversation needs to run both ways.
Internal notes never reach either
Anything you write in a block's internal notes (a vendor's real contact info, a note to yourself about a tricky family situation, a reminder about a payment) stays inside your own view of the timeline. It's excluded from the data both the share link and a guest account are built from, rather than hidden by a UI toggle, so there's no setting that could accidentally expose it. Write what you need to remember there without worrying about who else might see it.
