Changelog

What's new in Daymarked.

0.47.1

Improved

  • Editing a shot list is faster: quick successive edits now save as one change, and saving no longer reloads the wedding page data behind the scenes.

0.47.0

New

  • Importing a filled questionnaire now fills in your family and wedding party members automatically, ready for the shot list.
  • The import review screen is now split into Details, Family and wedding party, and Vendors tabs so you can move through it faster.
  • If you import a filled questionnaire before setting up your template, Daymarked now offers to save those fields as your questionnaire template so future weddings start with them.
  • Mother-in-law and Father-in-law are now options when you list family members.

Improved

  • Family group labels now show the couple's full names, for example "Bethany Feis' Family" instead of "Bethany's Family".
  • The studio name in the top header now takes you back to your dashboard.

0.46.0

Improved

  • In the family and wedding party lists, you can now press Enter after filling in a person to add the next one, so you can build the whole list from the keyboard without reaching for the mouse.

Fixed

  • In the expanded family and wedding party editor, adding or moving a person now keeps your cursor on the right row instead of jumping to a hidden one behind the pop-up.

0.45.0

New

  • The app now works properly on phones. The sidebar tucks into a menu button, pages use the full width of the screen, and timelines are readable and editable on a phone — useful on the wedding day itself.

Improved

  • The Plans page now highlights a recommended plan so it is easier to compare options at a glance.
  • Forms are friendlier to autofill: sign-in, sign-up, and the couple questionnaire now tell your browser which field is which, phone fields bring up the number keypad on phones, and every questionnaire name and phone field has a visible label.
  • If you are not the company admin, the company settings now explain why those fields are read-only.
  • Resizing timeline blocks is easier: the resize handles have a bigger grab area (larger still on touch screens), and a selected block now shows where to grab it instead of only on hover.
  • The timeline selection bar now hints that double-clicking a block opens its editor, and spaces the Delete button away from the dismiss button so a stray click cannot start a delete.

Fixed

  • The venue field on the couple questionnaire displayed as a cut-off box. It now looks like every other field.
  • On phones, the couple's timeline view no longer cuts off block titles, locations, and notes — notes now appear below the details instead of squeezed beside them.
  • On phones, the questionnaire banner on the couple's wedding page no longer cuts off its greeting or wraps one word per line.
  • The "Save to home screen" button on shared timelines only shows on phones and tablets now, not on desktop computers.
  • The downloadable client timeline PDF no longer spills a few rows onto a nearly empty last page. A typical full day now fits on one page, and when a timeline does run long it breaks between blocks instead of splitting one apart.
  • Exported timeline and shot-list PDFs now show your contact footer at the bottom of every page instead of only once.
  • On multi-page PDF exports, pages after the first now start a little lower so nothing gets clipped at the top edge when printed.
  • The formals shot list in exported PDFs now has a plain white background to match the rest of the page.
  • Shot lists no longer repeat "X's side" after every name in a family section on the PDF and share views. The section already names whose family it is, so the extra note was removed. Wedding party and other mixed groups still show the side where it helps.

0.44.0

Improved

  • The Standard formals starter template is now a complete working shot list built from a professional wedding photography workflow: wedding party shots stepping down from the full group to individuals, and a full ladder of family shots per side including step-family, extended family, and catch-all groupings. Templates you already created are not changed.

0.43.0

New

  • Shot list templates now have Step Parents and Step Siblings options, and couples can pick Stepsister and Stepbrother in the questionnaire. This lets you plan separate shots for blended families instead of one photo that forces everyone together.

Improved

  • The Parents option in shot list templates now means Mom and Dad only. Stepparents are covered by the new Step Parents option and are still part of Immediate family shots. If your template uses Parents and a couple has stepparents, add a Step Parents grouping to include them.
  • If you have not created a shot list template yet, the Family & Wedding Party tab now offers "Set up your shot list template" and takes you to the Shot Lists page, instead of showing an error after you click Generate.

0.42.0

New

  • Shot lists: your couples now list every family member and wedding party member with a relationship dropdown, and you generate a formal photo shot list from your own grouping templates. Edit it per wedding, print it as its own PDF, and share it with couples on the timeline share link and client PDF.
  • Couples can now note which extended family group someone belongs to (like "The Hendersons") when they're an aunt, uncle, cousin, or other family member, so you can plan grouped photos more easily.
  • Shot list templates now offer Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins pills, plus an Extended Families pill that automatically creates a separate grouping for each named extended family (like "The Hendersons") on that side.
  • Shot lists can split formal photos into before and after the ceremony, and you can move any shot between the two.
  • You can rename a wedding's shot list, and the name shows on the share link and PDFs.
  • Shot lists get their own share link and PDF, separate from the timeline, for photographers who deliver them as their own document.
  • Filter pills on the shot list let you and your couples view one section at a time without losing the shot numbering.
  • Questionnaire emails: save your message as a reusable template, insert the couple's names with one click, and preview the exact email before sending. Couples who already have an account automatically get a login link instead of a public one.
  • The couple's portal shows your studio logo, the wedding status, a link back to their questionnaire, and the shot list as its own page. If the timeline isn't built yet, couples land on the shot list instead of an empty page.

Improved

  • Wedding details now opens full-screen with Save Changes and Close at the top, and warns when you have unsaved changes.
  • Family & Wedding Party: each side of the family has its own column, sections can be edited and saved one at a time, and moving someone between groups is one click. Cousin-in-law joined the relationship list.
  • The couple's questionnaire is simpler: one column per section, clear Next and Submit Response buttons, and the Vendors section is now called Vendor Team.
  • Questionnaire responses are grouped into collapsible cards by who answered and when.
  • Duplicate shots are removed automatically when a shot list is generated.
  • The dashboard's view and Active/Archived controls are now always visible instead of expanding when you hover over them. The selected option uses a quieter grey highlight.

Fixed

  • Saving wedding details no longer closes the panel unexpectedly.
  • When a couple submits their questionnaire from their account, the "Waiting on couple" badge on your dashboard now clears.
  • Couples connected to more than one wedding no longer lose their name and messages button in the portal.
