Some couples answer a questionnaire before they're even a wedding in your dashboard: a submission from your intake link, or a filled-in document a couple sent you directly. Daymarked can create the wedding straight from either one, instead of you reading it over and typing it all back in by hand.
Creating straight from a submitted questionnaire
From the dashboard, open the New Wedding button's menu and choose Import from Questionnaire. If a submission is already waiting (someone filled out your intake link), it's listed. Pick it to open a full review of everything they answered. If a strong match to a wedding you already have shows up, Daymarked offers Add to this wedding instead of creating a duplicate.
If nothing's waiting, or you'd rather work from a document you already have, the same menu goes straight to upload a filled questionnaire: a .pdf or .xlsx you already have from the couple. Daymarked reads it and pulls the answers out the same way.
Either path ends the same way: a review of what was found, and a New Wedding button that creates the wedding. The button sits behind a confirmation, since creating a wedding may use one of your wedding credits.
What gets pre-filled
Partner names, the wedding date, and the venue always come across, along with ceremony and reception details, each partner's getting-ready information, the family and wedding party list, and the couple's vendor team: the same fields the questionnaire itself collects.
How precisely an answer lands depends on where it came from. A submission from your own intake link maps exactly, because it was collected against your own questionnaire fields to begin with. An uploaded document doesn't carry that structure, so each answer is matched to the closest field Daymarked recognizes: an exact match on wording first, then a closer look at anything phrased differently. Anything it still can't place becomes a new custom question on the wedding rather than getting dropped. If your studio doesn't have a questionnaire template yet, that first import also offers to save its questions into one, so the next wedding starts with them too.
Finishing the timeline
The wedding opens in the timeline editor exactly like one created any other way, with everything pre-filled instead of blank. Because it already carries the answers a timeline can be built from, the empty timeline leads with Build Timeline rather than the usual manual starting point. From there it's the same editor as any other wedding: adjust what's there, drag on whatever else the day needs, and share it.
