Daymarked has three ways to pay for weddings, and they cover different needs: one wedding at no cost to try the whole product, a pack of three when you need a handful more, and an annual plan once you're booking weddings regularly.
The free first wedding
Every company starts with one wedding, completely free, no card required. Build the full timeline, add every block, invite the couple, run the questionnaire; nothing about the free wedding is a trimmed-down version of the product. It's the real thing, for exactly one wedding.
Wedding packs
Once you've used your free wedding, a pack buys three more for $27, which works out to $9 each. There's no subscription attached to a pack: you're buying a fixed number of weddings outright, and those credits never expire. Buy a pack in a slow month and the credits are still there waiting whenever your next few weddings come in.
Annual
For $129 a year, Daymarked is unlimited: every wedding you take on is covered for as long as the plan is active. There's no balance to watch and no pack to remember to buy before your next wedding. On annual, creating a wedding never touches a credit at all.
When a credit is used
The free wedding and a pack credit are spent at two different moments.
The free wedding's credit is used the first time you export or share that wedding: clicking Copy link to generate the share URL, or exporting a PDF. It is not used when you create the wedding. That means you can build a test wedding, poke around the editor, delete it, and start over as many times as you like before you've actually handed a timeline to anyone. The credit only counts once you do.
A pack credit works the other way: it's spent the moment you create the wedding. If you delete that wedding before you've ever exported or shared it, the credit comes back to your balance, so a wedding you started and abandoned before sending anything doesn't cost you anything in the end. Once you've exported or shared it, though, the credit is committed for good, even if you delete the wedding afterward; the work of building and sending that timeline has already happened.
The short version: the free wedding is designed to survive a false start, and a pack credit is spent on creation and refundable only up until you actually send something.
